Prime Ministers and governments need to be challenged by the opposition, I accept that. However the way that Australian politicians from all sides attack each other and finger point ‘demanding the minister resigns cos he dropped a bottle of milk’ etc, really gets up my nose.
It seems that every point an opposition minister makes has to be a snide and negative attack. The government response is always a defensive one, covering their arses and blaming it all on the previous government etc.
It’s not a good culture or an example to set to the youth of Australia is it? No wonder the Australian Public Service is perceived as negative and destructive, where the primary motive is to cover ones arse and find someone else to point the finger of blame at, rather than seek a solution.
It’s not the fault of the average public servant. What chance have they with the lead set by their masters? Wouldn’t it be far more positive and productive if they all focused on working together for the good of Australia?
Mr Rudd & Mr Abbott can you have a word with the guys & girls and sort it out please? How about you put your country first and leave the ego at home.
