As the former Tottenham Hotspur legend Jimmy Greaves used to say, and had he been watching the Old Boys play Canberra FC, yesterday I’m sure that’s what he would have been saying. Aside from “who are all these old blokes trying to kid”.
Brindabella Blues lined up against us this morning with a handful of Division 1 players, however the Old Boys got off to a dream start in this Anzac Day clash and went 1-0 up within the opening 10 minutes. Brindabella came back though and scored, from our point of view, two very soft goals in [...]

Would you believe it, we won our first game of the season today? Well first game for me as I was suspended for the opener last weekend. We stuck five past a spirited Woden Vally side, and although we started slowly and looked a little rusty, on the whole, it was a good team performance.

West Ham, please, please, please, please please beat Stoke tonight. Can’t bear the thought of playing in the Championship next season. Come on Gianfranco, don’t let them blow it.

Most of us would make Melbourne slight favourites given their home advantage, however Sydney did finish the season in top spot, so it [...]
No surprises there, eh Hammers fans? Losing 4-1 at Stamford Bridge to the league leaders is a pretty predictable scoreline and kind of reflects the way West Ham’s season is going. Zola reckons 10 more points from the final nine or ten games should be enough, and I tend to agree.
Hope we start by beating [...]
It should have been at least 3-0 against Indonesia, but the A-League lads did enough to qualify for the Asian Cup Finals. Where Kewell, Cahill and the rest of the European based players will be available for selection.
We’re expecting great things this time.
